We have learned through many years of experience that when children come to our office at a very young age (one to two years old) when their parents have an appointment and become familiar with the office, the equipment and the TOY BOX, they never have fear on their first appointment in the chair. We sit them on our laps while we see their parent and let them hold and feel all the equipment so they have been in control of the tools themselves.  It becomes very easy to determine when they are ready to have the full experience, and we never rush them or force them in any way.  There's laughter and fooling around so that they look forward to coming to the office.
